Sectors
Oil & gas resourcing, from hook-up to decommissioning.
Offshore and onshore teams for brownfield modifications, hook-up & commissioning, shutdowns and late-life decommissioning — mobilised with the tickets, medicals and vetting already in place.
Market context
What’s driving demand in Oil & Gas
The UKCS is running two agendas at once. Producing assets need brownfield modification, integrity and turnaround work to keep running safely past their original design life, while a growing decommissioning portfolio is moving from planning into execution across the central and northern North Sea. Both compete for the same pool of experienced offshore people.
The North Sea Transition Deal has also blurred the line between hydrocarbons and the energy transition. Platform electrification, CCS tie-backs and hydrogen studies mean operators increasingly want engineers who can move between a producing asset and a transition project without relearning the safety regime — and who already hold the survival and medical certification to get offshore.
Aberdeen remains the centre of gravity, but demand is genuinely national: Teesside, the Humber, Grangemouth, Fawley and Milford Haven all draw on the same discipline pool for shutdowns and midstream work. Mobilisation speed — not CV volume — is what usually decides whether a scope hits its window.
- 2050
- Target date for UK net zero, which frames every late-life and electrification investment case on the UKCS
- 2/3 on
- Typical offshore rotation patterns (2/3, 3/3 and 2/2 back-to-back) that drive duplicate resourcing on campaign work
- EX01–04
- The CompEx units most frequently specified on hazardous-area electrical and instrumentation scopes

Disciplines
Roles we typically place
A representative sample rather than a limit — if the discipline sits inside a oil & gas scope, we can usually resource it.
- Commissioning Managers & Engineers
- Completions / Certification Engineers
- Turnaround / Shutdown Planners
- Project Managers / Engineers
- Commissioning Technicians
- Offshore Construction Personnel
- Discipline Engineers & Designers
- Subsea & Pipelines Engineers
Tickets & compliance
What has to be in place before day one
We verify certification, clearance and right-to-work status before a candidate reaches your shortlist — and track expiry dates so a lapsed ticket never stops a shift.
BOSIET / FOET (OPITO)
Offshore survival and emergency training, with CA-EBS where the travel route requires it.
OGUK / Energy Institute medical
Valid offshore medical plus fitness-to-train, checked before any mobilisation.
CompEx EX01–EX04
Hazardous-area competence for electrical and instrumentation work in Zone 1 and Zone 2.
MIST / Vantage
Minimum Industry Safety Training and a live Vantage POB record for offshore tracking.
IRATA rope access
Levels 1–3 for access-constrained inspection, fabric maintenance and NDT scopes.
IR35 & right to work
Status determinations, umbrella and PSC compliance handled before contract start.
How we help
Three ways we support Oil & Gas programmes
Workforce Solutions
Contract and staff hires across the offshore disciplines, with tickets, medicals and Vantage records verified up front so a start date is a real date.
Workforce Solutions for Oil & GasManaged Project Services
Managed teams for defined scopes — a commissioning crew, an inspection campaign, a shutdown labour package — supervised and reported against milestones.
Managed Project Services for Oil & GasConsultancy Services
Mobilisation planning and rate benchmarking for campaign work, including back-to-back rotation modelling and demobilisation planning at scope end.
Consultancy Services for Oil & GasOther sectors we work in
The same disciplines and tickets travel further than people expect — many of our contractors move between these markets.
