What’s driving demand in Nuclear
UK nuclear is unusually broad right now. Hinkley Point C is deep in mechanical, electrical and C&I installation, Sizewell C is ramping up, the SMR programme is moving from selection into design and siting, and the Sellafield and Magnox estates continue decades of retrievals and decommissioning — all drawing on one constrained SQEP pool.
Defence adds a second, harder-to-fill layer. Submarine build and support at Barrow, Derby and Devonport needs cleared engineers, and clearance lead times mean a candidate with current SC or DV is worth substantially more to a programme than an equally capable one without.
What separates nuclear from adjacent sectors is evidence.
